connecting a webcam:
After doing the build on the router and adding the video related packages, on plugging in a uvc camera, dmesg now shows
uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000 (045e:0728) input: Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000 as /devices/ssb0:1/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.0/input/input0mjpg-streamer gets loaded up automatically, should be able to control it using /etc/init.d/mjpg-streamer. (see /etc/config/mjpg-streamer for its options, like the port)
then, the camera output is available at
http://192.168.1.111:8080/?action=stream
